October 14, 7:30 PM
On behalf of the Canadian International Organ Competition (CIOC), we cordially invite you to join us for our Gala Concert at 7:30pm on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Notre-Dame Basilica.
The concert will feature three of the finest young organists from around the world, including Isabelle Demers who is originally from Montreal and has gone on to build an international reputation following her studies at the Julliard School in New York. She will be joined by two promising young organists who have recently won major international competitions: Dexter Kennedy (USA – winner of the Concours International d’Orgue de Chartres in France) and Johannes Zeinler (Austria – winner of the St. Albans International Organ Competition in the UK).
During the concert, we will take the opportunity to pay tribute to the legacies of two CIOC Board members who have recently passed away: Me. Gérard Coulombe (CIOC Vice-Chairman 2008-2011 and Chairman from 2013-2016), and M. Claude Morin (CIOC Board member from 2013-2016). Both of these gentlemen worked tirelessly in support of the CIOC, and we will proudly continue to carry out our mission in their honour.
Tickets for this event are already on sale.
If you cannot be present at the Gala Concert on October 14th, please consider making a donation to the CIOC, either through the enclosed donation card or via our website. We thank you in advance for your support.
