Andrew Dewar's musical career started at an early age, being appointed organist at his local church in Yeovil, England, at the age of nine. From 1999 to 2000, he was Organ Scholar at Wells Cathedral before moving to Germany where he studied at the Musikhochschüle, in Stuttgart, with Professor Dr. Ludger Lohmann. Andrew has won First Prizes at St. Alban's International Organ Competition in 2005, where he won the Audience Prize as well, at the Mendelssohn Competition in Berlin in 2003 and at the International Organ Competition Landau an der Isar in 2002. He has performed in Europe and America, and has released two solo CDs with the German label
Edition Hera and
Sacral.
