By the age of eight Gottfried Thore Drywa, born in Berlin, started his professional education in piano, violin, music theory, counterpoint and composition. In the following years he worked independently in the field of organ, piano and composition. In 2006 he completed the "Bachelor of Music" at Rotterdam Conservatoriium in Classical Organ with excellence. He continued in the organ-master-class of Professor Ben van Oosten for the "Master of Music" degree, focussing on the French romantic and modern organ repertoire and improvisation. Since 1998 he performs at concerts in Germany and other countries, focussing on a commitment toward German historical organs, supporting this through benefit concerts. He continues his musical activities through transcriptions for the organ of orchestral pieces by Sibelius, Mozart, Liszt and Bruckner.
