At the age of eight, Ka Young Lee, who was born in Seoul, won Best Award of Piano Department in the 19th National Youth Artists Music Competition. At Yonsei University in Seoul, she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Organ Performance under the tutelage of Professor Tong-Soon Kwak. She then earned the Diploma Konsertreife Orgel with Excellence under Professor Wolfgang Rubsam at the University of Music in Saarbrücken, Germany. Since 2007, she has been studying for the Concert Diploma under Professor Martin Sander at the College of Church Music in Heidelberg, Germany. She received Second Prize in the Horst Dieter Veeck Organ Competition in Saarbrücken in 2006. In 2007, she won Second Prize at the International M.K. Ciurlionis Piano and Organ competition in Vilnius, Lithuania.
