MI-KYOUNG CHUNG: South Korea, September 28,1980

At the age of three, Mi-Kyoung Chung began taking piano lessons in Seoul where she was born. She attended Seoul Arts High School, and began her organ studies with Professor Tong-Soon Kwak. She attended the Organ Department of Yonsei University, where she graduated with her Bachelor degree in 2003. The same year she won the Second Prize in the Chang Chon-Klais Organ Competition. In 2005, Mi-Kyoung graduated with her Master's degree in organ. Since 2006 she has been studying with William Porter at McGill University, Montreal. In the years since her high school graduation Mi-Kyoung has had a vast experience in master classes in Korea and France, taught by eminent professors such as Daniel Roth, Jean Boyer, Olivier Latry and Francois Espinasse.
