ARNFINN TOBIASSEN: Norway, March 18, 1981
After graduating as a prize-winning diploma student from the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2007, Arnfinn Tobiassen, born in Bergen, Norway, is now devoting much of his time to recital work. He also holds organist positions at the Dutch Church in London and at St. Michael's and All Angels Church in South London. In 2001 he entered the Royal Academy of Music where he subsequently studied for his under-graduate degree with David Titterington and James O'Donnell.
In 2005, he began postgraduate performance and improvisation studies at the same institution studying with Susan Landale and Lionel Rogg. He also participated in Master Classes with Daniel Chorzempa, Helmut Deutsch, Naji Hakim and Jon Laukvik. In 2006, Arnfinn won the 15th International Organ Competition in Opava, Czech Republic.
